About Academy
Morrow Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was founded by black belt William "Eddie" Morrow. Eddie has been training and competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 2006, and his passion for the art has led him to open the first Jiu Jitsu Academy in Mercer County. At Morrow Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, we focus on training in a safe, family-friendly atmosphere and welcome all ages. We offer both Gi and No-Gi classes, as well as kids’ classes. Our programs are designed for everyone, regardless of experience or fitness level. We will train anyone interested in learning the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

OUR INSTRUCTOR
William Morrow

Coach Darin
Coach Darin started wrestling at 6 years old through kids wrestling, following his older brother into the sport, and stuck with it all the way through high school. Along the way he had the opportunity to travel and compete at a high level across the country, attending wrestling camps and training under names like Ben Askren, Jeff Jordan, and Lance Palmer, among others.
Beyond folkstyle, Darin has competed in freestyle and Greco wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and USA Beach Wrestling — where he took home Silver at the 2025 National Championships.
“Cultivating knowledge and having a deeper mental understanding for grappling has been a passion and lifelong pursuit for me.” — Coach Darin
Outside of Training and Coaching Darin has a career in Sales, 3 dogs and a hobby for watching all sports related events and playing his bass guitar.

Coach Jacob
Coach Jacob grew up playing sports. He focused on baseball, football and wrestling through his high school years, and Jacob continued to play baseball in college at Rose-Hulman University. After college, he first got into teaching by helping share his faith through youth programs at his church.
Jacob started his jiu jitsu journey in 2022 at Relentless Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Warsaw, IN. There he learned strong fundamentals and earned 4 stripes on his white belt. He joined Morrow Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2024 and quickly became an active member of the morning crew. He has since earned his purple belt, and Jacob decided to step up and become the assistant instructor in August of 2025 to help keep the morning class rolling.
Jiu Jitsu Competition
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) competitions are a showcase of skill, strategy, and endurance. They involve athletes from various weight classes competing in matches that focus on grappling and ground fighting, with the goal of obtaining a dominant position and using joint locks or chokeholds to force an opponent to submit.

BRAZILIAN Jiu JITSU
We offer a dedicated Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class 6 days a week. Learn BJJ from black belt Eddie Morrow and purple belt Nathan Adams. Eddie has been training BJJ since 2006. We have Gi classes and No Gi classes as well and have separate kids and adult classes. Classes are 1 hour long and have at least 30 mins of roll time afterwards each class. We welcome all belts from beginner to black belt.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting with the goal of gaining a dominant position from which to force an attacker to submit via chokes, joint-locks, etc…. It promotes the principle that a smaller, weaker person using proper technique can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger assailant.
You will find that this is one of the most challenging yet rewarding things that you will ever do. BJJ will teach you to rely on yourself, to value the input of others, and most importantly to respect both your own skills and those of others.
